BlackBerry Bold 9900. Giffgaff or Contract?
You have two options for buying the BlackBerry Bold 9900:
- The first option is to buy the phone upfront without a SIM card. This means paying £354.52 upfront. You'll then be able to take advantage of giffgaff's super-cheap "Goodybag" packages: £23/month will buy you 800 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited internet. There are no commitment with giffgaff so you are free to change phone or network at any time.
- The second option is to get the BlackBerry Bold 9900 on a 24 month contract from Vodafone. You'll get the phone
for the lower cost of £99.00 upfront
but you'll pay £26.00/month for the next 24 months. This buys you 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB data. You must stay with Vodafone for the entire 24 months: it is not possible to cancel your contract early.
Over the 24 months, giffgaff (option 1) works out £184 more expensive than taking out a contract (option 2).
Option 1 (giffgaff) » Option 2 (Vodafone contract) » If you opt for option 1, you'll need to buy the BlackBerry Bold 9900 separately.
