Nokia Lumia 800. Giffgaff or Contract?
You have two options for buying the Nokia Lumia 800:
- The first option is to buy the phone upfront without a SIM card. This means paying £354.49 upfront. You'll then be able to take advantage of giffgaff's super-cheap "Goodybag" packages: £10/month will buy you 250 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited internet. There are no commitment with giffgaff so you are free to change phone or network at any time.
- The second option is to get the Nokia Lumia 800 on a 24 month contract from T-Mobile. You'll get the phone
for the lower cost of £50.00 upfront
but you'll pay £21.00/month for the next 24 months. This buys you 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 250MB data. You must stay with T-Mobile for the entire 24 months: it is not possible to cancel your contract early.
Over the 24 months, giffgaff (option 1) works out £40 more expensive than taking out a contract (option 2).
